Kia ora, my name’s Alexander Robertson and I’m a freelance videographer, photographer, and social media content creator, currently living in Aotearoa.

And I've also got some great news, I was recently named Videographer of the Year and runner up for Best Team Video at the 2018 Voyager Media Awards.

I specialise in news, feature stories and corporate photos and videos, as well as documenting my own travels around the globe.

Stories can be told in a number of ways, whether it’s photography, 360 video, aerial photography and videography, or a combination of all. I can offer all of the above, and I have the experience and skills to help you develop a storyboard and plan, based on who your company is aiming to reach.

I've recently returned to New Zealand after spending a year working as a freelance videographer in New York City. Before moving to New York, I was an integral part of RNZ’s fast-paced newsroom, where I covered breaking news, web series, feature stories, drone operation, in-house visual development and production, field logistics, and staff training.

I've travelled the world, living and mixing with different cultures and communities. I’ve mined in Australia, volunteered in Peru after devastating floods, motorbiked through Sri Lanka, lived in NYC, spent a month road-tripping around America's national parks, and have explored the colourful island of Cuba. When it comes to stories, I've got a fair few.

If you’re looking for a videographer, storyteller, or content creator, I’d love to hear from you.
